Note: The candidate studying in the fifth year of the Five-Year Integrated Law Course or the third year of the Three-Year Law Course after graduation in any stream will also be eligible to apply, subject to furnishing proof of acquiring Law qualification before taking up the assignment as Law Clerk-cum-Research Associate.

ऑनलाईन आवेदन फार्म में समस्त वांछित सूचना अवश्य अंकित करे। ऑलाईन आवेदन भरने से पूर्व संस्थान की वेबसाईट पर उपलब्ध इस विज्ञप्ति को ध्यानपूवर्क पढ़ ले तथा इसमें दिये गये निर्देश को ध्यान में रखते हुए आवेदन भरे। कोई सूचना गलत या अपूर्ण भरने पर आवेदक का आवेदन पत्र बिना किसी पूर्व सूचना के रद्द कर उसे परीक्षा में प्रवेश नहीं दिया जायेगा एवं उसकी उम्मीदवारी किसी भी स्तर पर निरस्त की जा सकेगी एवं कानूनी कार्यवाही अमल में लाई जा सकेगी। जिसकी सम्पूर्ण जिम्मेदारी स्वयं आवेदक की होगी। गलत / असत्य सूचना या अपूर्ण आवेदन के सुधार के क्रम में संस्थान द्वारा कोई पत्र व्यवहार नहीं किया जाएगा।

Candidates must apply online through the website www.sci.gov.in. Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected.


Candidates apply carefully before filling up the application form. Before pressing the “FINAL SUBMIT” button, candidates are advised to verify every field filled in the online application. Candidates can submit only one application for a particular category of post.

METHOD OF SELECTION:

The selection process shall be conducted in three phases: Part I- Multiple Choice Based Questions, testing the candidates’ ability to understand and apply the law, and comprehension skills; Part II- Subjective Written Examination, covering writing and analytical skills; Part III- Interview. Details of the Pattern of Examination, Minimum Qualifying Standards, Terms and Conditions of contractual assignment are given in the “Scheme of Engaging Law Clerk-cum-Research Associates on Short-Term Contractual Assignment in the Supreme Court of India-January 2024” available on the website of the Supreme Court of India, i.e. www.sci.gov.in. 

Choice of Test Centre: -

Part I and Part II shall be conducted on the same day in two sessions at twenty-three (23) cities across India i.e. Ahmedabad, Ambala, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jodhpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram and Visakhapatnam. A break shall be provided to candidates between the conducting of Parts I and II. The number of test centers may be increased or decreased, subject to the number of applications received and as per directions of Hon’ble the Chief Justice of India or the Committee of Hon’ble Judges on Law Clerks.
